Kendal Mountain Festival are hitting the road this spring with an extended UK Tour.

Taking the spirit and essence of Kendal Mountain Festival’s flagship weekend and creating 20 unique Festival inspired events across the UK.

Each event will centre around a collection of short adventure films – stories of talent, endurance and excitement that will take your breath away! Ride icy waves in sub zero winter, chase tornados, run in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and mountain bike into the wildest reaches of your imagination.

Alongside the incredible collection of films, Kendal Mountain Festival are excited to host the UK’s most inspiring adventurers as guest speakers.

‘We’re excited to be hitting the road again following a great Tour last year. We’ve increased the number of venues all around the UK and we’ll be sharing some of the best curated content for our audiences who are in for a treat. See you there!’ – Festival Director Steve Scott.

This year the tour will include two Cumbrian stops – Penrith and Kendal

Friday 5th April – Rheged, Penrith

We’ll be joined by two incredible speakers – world record-breaking cyclist Jenny Graham who cycled 18000 miles across the globe, self-supported in just 124 days! And local adventurer Clare Dyson who in 2018 covered 250 miles across the beautiful Lake District on her fell pony Pansy, sleeping wild and waking up to the stunning Cumbrian landscape with her loyal dog Finn by her side. Of course the night won’t be complete without a screening of the world’s best adventure films to rouse your wanderlust.

Thursday 6th June – Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal

For the final leg of our tour, we’re heading back to our home town of Kendal and we’re excited to be joined on stage by the incredible explorer and TV Presenter Paul Rose. Paul is one of the world’s most experienced divers and polar experts. He has led expeditions all over the world and starred in highly acclaimed BBC documentaries such as ‘Oceans’, ‘Voyages of Discovery’ and more recently the hit series ‘The Lakes with Paul Rose’. Alongside Paul’s talk, we’ll be sharing our favourite adventure films from the wildest corners of our planet!

A special thanks to our tour sponsors: Lowe Alpine, Mountain Equipment, Exped, Ortlieb and George Fisher.
