Award-winning cheesemongers George & Joseph is bringing back one of its most popular Yorkshire Day traditions this Saturday (1 August), inviting customers to don a flat cap to claim a free piece of Yorkshire cheese.
Following the success of previous years, the Chapel Allerton cheesemonger is once again celebrating God’s Own County by rewarding the first 25 people through the shop doors wearing a traditional flat cap with a complimentary 100g piece of Yorkshire cheese.*
Yorkshire Day is also the perfect opportunity for customers to discover some of the county’s finest artisan cheeses. To mark the occasion, George & Joseph has created two limited-edition Yorkshire cheese selections, available in-store and online while stocks last.
The Yorkshire Cheese Selection (£15) includes:
• 100g Harrogate Blue
• 100g Yorkshire Pecorino Fresco
• 100g Summerfields Organic
For those looking for a complete ready-to-serve cheeseboard, The Complete Yorkshire Cheeseboard (£25) includes:
• The three Yorkshire cheeses
• Fine Cheese Co crackers
• Wild & Fruitful chutney
Both options are designed to serve two to three people and showcase some of Yorkshire’s outstanding artisan cheesemakers, making them the perfect way to celebrate Yorkshire Day at home.

The offer starts from shop opening and is available to the first 25 customers wearing a flat cap on Friday 1 August. Throughout the day, customers can also enjoy extra Yorkshire cheese tastings at the counter and chat with the George & Joseph team about the county’s exceptional cheesemakers.
