The Brit Fest is celebrating a smash-hit weekend with 15,000 festivalgoers turning up to party at the North-West’s inaugural new summer event.
The ground-breaking three-day festival took place at the Ashley Hall Showground at Altrincham from 5-7 July. Due to its success, dates have been confirmed for 2025.
Festival fun included a packed programme of performances from some of the biggest and best British music acts, along with rising stars and regional talent, plus a wealth of attractions and entertainment across its 100-acre site.
The main stage – energised by radio duo Jenny Powell and Mike Toolan – was headlined by Scouting for Girls on the opening night, Bonnie Tyler on Saturday evening, and Heather Small bringing the party to a thrilling close on Sunday.
The line-up also included a host of big names from the music world including a roster of 80s superstars including T’Pau, Nik Kershaw, Kim Wilde, Paul Young, Sonia, Deniece Pearson and Owen Paul along with appearances from artists like The Real Thing, Cast, Dodgy, The Feeling, Fleur East, Hot Chocolate, Starsailor and Reef.
There was also a full programme of bands, choirs, DJs, solo acts, cover outfits, authors, wellness experts and motivational speakers on the site’s ABC+ Warranty Stage.
And away from the music stages, The Brit Fest featured a myriad of food and drink options, artisan shopping experiences and non-stop entertainment right across its festival site delivering family-friendly fun as well as the ‘Mindful Meadow’ for those who wanted to take time out to relax.
The Brit Fest was organised by Olivier nominated brothers Anthony and Edward Prophet with the aim of celebrating the best of British music, food, drink and culture.
Anthony Prophet says: “An absolutely brilliant festival weekend, with a fantastic atmosphere in the showground, and we were particularly struck by the sense of unity and community among the crowds enjoying themselves right across the whole site.
“Staging a celebration like The Brit Fest – bringing a festival to our community of Altrincham and creating lifetime memories – has been something we’ve wanted to do for a long time. And we were proud to be able to offer such a strong programme for our inaugural event.
“It’s also a great base from which to plan our future festivals – I am pleased to announce that The Brit Fest will return in 2025!”
