The Baltic Triangle in Liverpool is set to welcome a relaxed new hangout this autumn, as Baltic Lounge prepares to open its doors.
The bar is taking over the former Platform 84 nightclub on Upper Stanhope Street, near Cains Brewery Village, and is due to open this Friday October 30th 2026.
Baltic Lounge aims to offer a warm, friendly space where locals can unwind, catch up with friends and enjoy a drink. “It’s just going to be a nice place to go and have a drink. Somewhere you can take it easy, listen to some good music, have a little dance, chill and chat. It’s an alternative to some of the more quirky and lively places in the area, so it’s going to add to the overall mix of an amazing part of the city. More than anything, it’ll have a lovely, friendly atmosphere because we want everyone to feel welcome.”
The venue has spent the past two weeks being refurbished. Its interior combines earthy greens and black tones with gold accents, alongside standard seating, a conservatory, cosy booths and sofas.
Baltic Lounge will be open Thursday to Sunday from 12pm until late, offering a different vibe each night: Thursdays: Quiz nights designed to build local community spirit, featuring plenty of fun and maybe even a bit of karaoke. Fridays & Saturdays: The energy steps up with live entertainment, including acoustic artists, vocalists, and regular DJ sets from In Demand’s Paul Tomo spinning everything from R&B and soul to pop and disco classics. Sundays: The pace slows right down with gentler acoustic sounds and a lower volume for the ultimate wind-down.
The bar will serve a full selection of beers, wines, and spirits alongside a signature cocktail menu. Highlights include premium Krombacher German beer on tap, with plans to introduce local cask ales in the near future.
“It’s the ideal time to open as we head into the festivities, and a brilliant location because there’s always something going on. We’re offering a calmer, more mellow vibe to balance all that out. We’re starting four days a week to see how it goes, but we couldn’t be more excited to open over Halloween weekend.”
