Aagrah Foods is celebrating a clean sweep of quality at the prestigious Great Taste Awards, after its Plain Naan was awarded two stars – meaning every product in the brand’s range now holds at least one coveted Great Taste star.
The Yorkshire-based family business, known for bringing authentic, restaurant-quality Kashmiri flavours into homes across the UK, secured the latest accolade for its Plain Naan, recognising the quality, flavour and craftsmanship behind one of the brand’s most versatile products and adding to an impressive collection of Great Taste wins across its full range.
Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards are among the world’s largest and most respected food and drink accreditation schemes, with products assessed through a rigorous blind-tasting process by a panel of industry experts.
A two-star award is given to products judged to be ‘above and beyond delicious’, marking Aagrah Foods’ Plain Naan out as an exceptional product in its category. The win also gives Aagrah Foods a rare quality credential across the brand: every product it has entered into the Great Taste Awards has received at least one star, following blind judging by food and drink experts.
Made to offer the authentic taste and texture of a restaurant-style naan at home, the Plain Naan are hand-pulled and hand finished, allowing the air to create pockets for that lovely pillowy softness whilst the charred bits are intentional from a 400C oven. They can be served alongside curries and traditional dishes or used as a base for quick lunches, sharing dishes and family meals.

To celebrate its Great Taste success, Aagrah Foods has shared a simple Sweet Chilli & Chutney Tear & Share Naan recipe, transforming its award-winning Plain Naan into a colourful, cheesy sharing dish.
Sweet Chilli & Chutney Tear & Share Naan
Ingredients
● 1 Aagrah Foods Plain Naan
● Poppadom chutney
● Mozzarella cheese
● Sliced pepper
● Sliced chilli
● Red onion, finely sliced
Method
1. Place the Plain Naan on a baking tray and spread generously with poppadom chutney.
2. Sprinkle over the finely sliced red onion, tear the mozzarella and distribute evenly, then add the sliced pepper and chilli.
3. Place under the grill or in an oven at 200°C until the cheese has melted and begins to develop golden patches.
4. Remove from the oven, slice and serve hot as a tear-and-share dish.
