A COUNTY Durham hotel is offering the ultimate festive getaway for a family or group of six, with all of the fun and none of the hard work.
Bowburn Hall Hotel recently unveiled its latest addition – a stunning three bedroom cottage with a sitting room, dressing area and outdoor hot tub and sauna. And now the hotel is offering it to one lucky party for a two night Christmas break -with all of the trimmings.
The offer is for up to six people who can stay at the cottage from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day and enjoy all of the facilities that the hotel has to offer. The package starts on December 24 when guests can check in and get in the festive mood with an afternoon cream tea with Bucks Fizz, followed by a four course dinner. On Christmas Day there will be a full Christmas lunch – with more Bucks Fizz – and for those who still have room later, an evening buffet. The deal includes a full English breakfast on both days and the cottage will be decked out in seasonal decorations. The cottage package costs just £1899 for six and only one is available.
“The cottage has already been a huge hit with guests and particularly brides who use it to stay with friends the night before the wedding,” said Tom Pallister, General Manager at Bowburn Hall Hotel, which is part of Ramside Estates. “But it is also the perfect place to spend Christmas, where guests can enjoy the hotel and everything it has to offer but still have some private family time as well.”
The hotel has a range of other breaks available over the festive season, with the same package but with accommodation in one of the hotel’s rooms or in a lodge, which starts from £270 per person.
It has also revealed its New Year’s Eve offer, with both one and two night breaks available. They include an afternoon tea with Bucks Fizz on arrival and tickets to the hotel’s grand New Year’s Eve celebration ball which includes a four course dinner, live entertainment and a disco. Guests are encouraged to have a lie in the following morning and then can enjoy a full English breakfast before departure.
