PARENTS and carers terrified at the prospect of keeping their young ones entertained during half term should head to Family Fright Fest – with the exciting addition of a one-off special event.
The Halloween spectacular is currently running at weekends at Lintz Hall Farm, Burnopfield, with just four dates left on Saturday 24 October, Sunday 25 October, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October to enjoy the experience.
But organisers have also now added another date to the calendar for a brand new event called Kidzville, which will be open for one day only on Thursday 29 October.
Visitors to Kidzville will be able to enjoy all of the top attractions including fairground rides and a huge selection of food and drink outlets – but with a whole host of extra elements. It will take place from 11am until 4pm, with all children receiving an LED glow stick and offered the opportunity to meet and greet with a range of characters, get access to the Creative Cove activity zone along with the Cosy Cauldron Lair. And that includes five fantastic live stage shows, face painting and creative stations all designed to create the perfect day out. These specially created shows include K-Pop Takeover, Glitter Pop, Party, Techno Ravers and Musical Mania, all performed by top class performers from Let’s Party Events.
Food vendors at both Kidzville and Family Fright Fest include everything from Greek favourites Acropolis to Truly Madly Pizza, Hatch 76 duck wraps, Twisted Chick and Diamond Dogs. Families will also be able to tuck into Crumbling Puddings, Ronnie’s Fish and Chips, burger experts 40 Ounce, barbeque specialists Primal Feast and viral food sensation, Bag Head.
At night the site turns into award-winning adult scare park, Psycho Path, which is also coming to the end of another successful run.
Nigel Holliday, one of the co-directors of Psycho Path and Family Fright Fest said it has been another fantastic year. “We have had an amazing response to both Family Fright Fest and Psycho Path and all the new elements we have introduced this year,” he said. “Kidzville is another great opportunity to enjoy something unique and will definitely be a great event for anyone wanting to give their children a half term treat.”
