Storthes Hall Park Spring Fling for Charity

An evening of fashion, fun and fundraising is planned at Storthes Hall Park, Kirkburton, on Thursday May 9 to raise much-needed cash for the Forget Me Not Children’s Trust.

Models will be hitting the catwalk as part of the charitable Spring Fashion Fling, featuring unique pieces and designer wear from the exclusive Almond boutiques based in Kirkburton and Holmfirth.

As well as the eye-catching numbers being modelled there is also going to be a host of other local businesses making up a mini gift bazaar of treats, presents and trinkets to buy on the night.

The fashion parade will be themed to show off the latest season’s holiday wear, a day at the races and occasional wear with Almond customers, staff and friends all volunteering for modelling duty. Brands featured include: InWear, Masai, Pennyblack, Tom Amsterdam and Orientique.

Entry for the glamourous evening is £15 per person which includes a VIP reception with fizz and canapes. Tickets can be purchased by calling 01484 488 848 or emailing info@stortheshall.co.uk. Doors open at 7pm.

The Forget Me Not Trust operates two children’s hospices in the north which offers crucial support for children with life-shortening conditions and their families. The Trust has helped hundreds of children through its hospices, based in Huddersfield and Bury, as well as a Home Service team.

Storthes Hall Park Events and Commercial Manager Mandy White said: “Forget Me Not is a wonderful local charity that is very close to our hearts and so we are delighted to host this event on their behalf. We aim to raise hundreds of pounds on the night which will go towards helping and support for both the children and their families.”

“We hope this event will be one of many fundraisers planned for Storthes Hall Park.”
