Trattoria 51 is set to celebrate the opening of its third restaurant in September after 16 years of success with a duo of existing North West locations.

With an apt location on 51 Whitechapel, Liverpool, Trattoria 51 will add to its culinary portfolio having already proven to be a hit with diners in its popular Southport Promenade and Old Hall Street venues.

The independently owned Italian eatery boasts an enviable reputation as a leading establishment for traditional home-cooking, using recipes handed down for generations. With a menu that includes fresh fish, meat and vegetarian plates, Trattoria 51 also offers gluten and dairy free options for most of its dishes including stone baked pizzas and artisan pasta.

Restauranteur Attilio Sergi said: “We’ve been running Trattoria 51 for almost two decades now, first in Southport before opening in the heart of Liverpool’s business district in 2013. It’s certainly a testament to the hard work of the entire team at Trattoria 51 that we’re now in a position to open our third site and we’re all incredibly excited about it.

“Being from Italy originally, we have been warmly welcomed into Liverpool and have seen hundreds of thousands of guests come through the doors of our Old Hall Street venue over the years, so it seemed only fitting that we open another location in the city to provide our service to even more guests. We’ve built up a reputation as a leading dining destination, particularly popular for our lunchtime and early evening daily express menu at £9.95 for two courses or £13.95 for three courses, as well as hosting parties and special occasions. Guests coming to try our homemade, authentic cooking can expect to experience warm Italian hospitality provided by our dedicated staff.”

Following the opening of Trattoria 51 Whitechapel, the venue will introduce 15 new jobs within the 120-capacity venue, expanding on an already 36-strong team from across the region.

Attilio added: “We are delighted to finally announce plans for our newest venue, which will combine all of the things that our guests know and love about the Trattoria 51 brand in an all-new location. This third restaurant will see us create new jobs across a number of positions including front of house, bartenders and chefs to name a few.

“Trattoria 51 is a family-run business and everyone who works with us becomes part of that family. Being able to increase our team and provide new opportunities for the local workforce in Liverpool and Southport means a lot to us. It’s important to me to champion the best of this city and its hospitality industry by supporting our team to develop professionally and personally so they can build a fantastic career in the restaurant business, starting right here in Trattoria 51.”

“We look forward to welcoming existing and new guests to our new restaurant alongside our Old Hall Street and Southport locations.”

Trattoria 51 offers fixed price express menus, daily specials and take-out options alongside an a la carte menu. With a wide choice of dishes, desserts, drinks and cocktails, the team can cater for any special dietary requirements or allergies.
