Fans of classic music and live entertainment across the North of England can look forward to a series of dates from That’ll Be The Day this autumn. The long-running theatre production will visit venues including King’s Lynn, Lowestoft, Peterborough, Crewe, Skegness, Buxton, Newark and Newtown as part of a 36-date UK tour running from August to October.
Among the northern dates are performances at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe on 26 September, the Embassy Theatre in Skegness on 11 October, Buxton Opera House on 25 October and Newark Palace Theatre on 28 October. The tour will also make stops in King’s Lynn, Lowestoft and Peterborough during September.
Known for its blend of live music, comedy sketches and theatrical performances, That’ll Be The Day celebrates some of the biggest hits from the 1950s through to the 1980s. The show has built a loyal following over the years by refreshing its content annually while maintaining the feel-good atmosphere that has made it a favourite with audiences across the UK.
Director, producer and vocalist Trevor Payne said the production’s continued success is down to the dedication of the cast and crew, as well as a commitment to delivering a fresh experience year after year.
Alongside its popularity on the theatre circuit, That’ll Be The Day has raised more than £1 million for charities including Childline, Make-A-Wish, Help for Heroes and the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation through post-show collections.
Featuring a cast of musicians, singers and performers, the latest tour promises an entertaining journey through decades of chart-topping favourites, bringing music, comedy and nostalgia to audiences across the North this autumn.
