A North West based ceremonial cacao brand is celebrating the community that has grown around its products by launching The Pachakuti Collective.
Created by Pachakuti Cacao, the collective brings together practitioners, creators and customers from all walks of life who have each discovered their own way of incorporating ceremonial cacao into everyday life.
Making up the collective are yoga teachers, artists, entrepreneurs, photographers, runners, parents and professionals, including cacaoistas, reiki practitioners, sound healers, wellbeing professionals and holistic therapists. Mirroring the many different ways people have embraced cacao beyond traditional expectations.
Over the coming months, members of The Pachakuti Collective will be introduced through a series of stories, sharing what they do, how ceremonial cacao has become part of their daily routines and encouraging others to discover their own relationship with it.
Steve Gravener, founder of Pachakuti Cacao, said: “One of the most rewarding parts of building Pachakuti has been seeing the community develop around it. People have discovered ceremonial cacao through so many different routes, and they’ve naturally started sharing recipes, ideas, experiences and supporting one another.
“The collective celebrates those people. It shows there isn’t one type of person who uses ceremonial cacao or one way to enjoy it. Everyone has found their own place within the community.”
Pachakuti Cacao was founded with the ambition of sourcing heirloom Arriba Nacional cacao directly from farming communities in Ecuador while introducing more people to ceremonial cacao in the UK.
Alongside offering high-quality ceremonial cacao, the business has worked to help customers understand the heritage, craftsmanship and care behind every cup, treating the product with respect throughout every stage of sourcing, trading and distribution.
Steve added: “The products will always be at the heart of what we do because they’re what bring people to us in the first place. What has surprised us is the community that’s grown around them.
“People have incorporated ceremonial cacao into their lives in ways we could never have predicted, whether that’s replacing coffee, becoming part of a yoga or breathwork practice, or simply creating a quieter, more intentional start to the day. We hope people come to know us not only for the quality of our cacao but also for the community that continues to grow around it.”
Alongside its ceremonial cacao and unroasted cacao beans, Pachakuti also offers a carefully selected range of complementary products including Guayusa (traditional Amazonian leaf tea), Dragon’s Blood (pure Croton lechleri resin), HASA Honey, Witoca Soap, Palo Santo sticks and Arabica coffee.
