Huddersfield premier venue Storthes Hall Park is on countdown as staff prepare for its seasonal programme of events that includes Christmas craft workshops, parties and its annual Christmas Fayre.

Launching the “season to the jolly” is the Craftea Christmas Workshop on December 4, 12:30-2:30pm, a mix of Hygge, handy crafts and design hints to rejuvenate your decorations. Experts will help guests pick up design ideas for the all important Christmas dinner table to make your day sparkle even more. Hot drinks and mince pies are included in the ticket price.

Two days later on December 6, the venue’s much-anticipated Christmas Party will see poppers popping at the dinner, dance and disco that sees the glamourous party-goers letting their hair down.

And to round off a Christmas-packed week, Storthes Hall Park then opens its doors on Saturday December 7 for one of the event highlights of the year – the Christmas Fayre and Santa’s Grotto. Santa will be arriving with his reindeer at 11.15am, before settling into his grotto for a day of greeting little visitors to tick off his naughty and nice lists. There’s something for the parents too with the Christmas Fayre also in full swing with dozens of stalls and niche attractions offered by local and artisan suppliers.

Tickets for the grotto are £4.50, including gift, and need to be booked in advance, with many time slots already sold out! All details on bookings for any of these events can be found at the venue’s website or Facebook Page.
