THE OPPORTUNITY to enjoy a range of international cuisines at a bargain price means that lunchtime on Tyneside will have extra bite from Monday (September 28).
Both St. James’ STACK and STACK Newcastle have unveiled a range of tasty deals at just £6 each, giving diners the opportunity to sample the delicious dishes on offer at both venues, without breaking the bank.
Street food vendors which operate at both sites have come up with a range of great deals, with Acropolis offering a Greek lunch box comprising chicken or halloumi with salad, fries, tzatziki and Acropolis’ special sauce and Zza Pizzaria giving diners the choice of any small pizza. Alternatively visitors can also pop into Yolo Coffee and take advantage of a toastie and a coffee for just £6.
The unique traders at each individual venue are also participating, with STACK Newcastle’s Pattersons adding their chicken mayor burger and fries to the list of deals. The newest addition to the site, Dinithi which specialises in Sri Lankan cuisine, will be selling its signature chicken wrap and fries, while Dylan’s will offer visitors a BBQ pulled pork Philly cheesesteak with pickles.
Anyone who wants to pop in to St. James’ STACK will also be spoilt for choice, with the Tan Hill’s Yorkshire sausage bowl -a Yorkshire pudding filled with creamy mash and topped with Tan Hill gravy – up for grabs and a deal of six chicken wings and fries from Clucking Oinks.
“Our special lunchtime deal is a great way to experience all of the fantastic street food offerings we have at both STACKS in Newcastle,” said Chloe Allan, marketing manager for food and drink at STACK. “As we head into autumn we know that people like something more substantial for lunch which they can also get quickly, particularly if they are in a break from work. “It also is a good excuse to try vendors for the first time, or to come back and eat a favourite street food. “Either way we are sure it is going to very popular.”
