Renowned artist Daniel Meakin is offering private gallery viewings and commissions in 2026! The internationally acclaimed abstract artist welcomes art lovers to his waterfront gallery in West Kirby to view his wide range of colourful creations and even discuss private commissions if they wish.
Widely regarded as one of the best abstract figurative artist in his field, Daniel has sold to avid collectors all over the world — with private commissioned work internationally, including to investment tycoon JP Morgan. In his quirky, psychedelic style, Daniel can paint a personalised masterpiece as a portrait, about a person’s favourite object, place or anything they wish — either for themselves or as a gift.
Also a specialist in upcycling and furniture painting, Daniel can even bring items of furniture to life — giving them a vibrant new multicoloured look. When working on commissions, Daniel works closely with the client and to their budget (private commissions from £45 up to pieces worth thousands) — private viewings are a chance to meet the artist and discuss options whilst enjoying views over the Marine Lake.
With a Degree in Fine Art and a Masters Degree in European Fine Art, Daniel Meakin has been selling internationally for over 30 years. Having ran a gallery in Barcelona and having exhibited and received numerous commissions throughout Europe, the U.S and Australia, the acclaimed artist now resides in Wirral, where he has hosted various exhibitions alongside other local artists.
Daniel said: “I moved to West Kirby in 2022 and instantly fell in love with the area. I have showcased my work at West Kirby Arts Centre, The Everyman Theatre, Wirral Open Studios, Dot Art, Start Yard, Hatch, Tallulah’s and other venues. My private gallery is particularly special, as it’s where you can see all of my work, whilst enjoy views over the marina and over to Wales.”
He continued: “The majority of my work is indeed private commissions, from ‘Mini Meakins’ as small gifts for as little as £45 to large wall features and even items of furniture. I thoroughly enjoy giving people, animals, places and whatever people love a vibrant new multicoloured look — immortalising them through unique, abstract pieces. They become a real talking point in people’s homes!”
