A NEW take on a classic food favourite is going down a storm at STACK Middlesbrough.

The Flaming Tattie has just opened its doors at the popular entertainment venue at Exchange Square, giving visitors even more food choices. The company has taken the humble baked potato and elevated it to the next level, flame-finishing the cheese topping to ensure its golden and crispy.

Visitors can choose from loaded favourites – a spud filled with cheese and tuna mayo, topped with more cheese and spring onions or double cheesy beans which come with crispy onions and a barbeque drizzle – or the range of fully loaded potatoes. These include Pork and Corn Star – again packed with cheese, barbeque pulled pork, jalapenos, chipotle mayo and crispy onions – and Cheesy Chilli Crunch with a traditional or veggie chilli, sour cream, siracha mayo, fajita tortilla crunch and coriander. A Crispy Chicken Parmo version – a nod to Teesside’s most famous dish – and a Crispy Chicken Ceasar are also on the menu, along with a build-your-own version where diners can choose from butter or garlic butter and a choice of toppings.

“The Flaming Tattie has just opened its doors but is already proving a huge hit,” said Chloe Allan, marketing manager for food and drink at STACK. “It’s that time of year when people want something more substantial to eat and there’s nothing better than something as comforting as a baked potato, but done in a totally original way.”
