Liverpool's Dutch Flower Shop Creates Bespoke Bouquets for Duchess of Sussex

HRH The Duchess of Sussex was welcomed to Merseyside with not one, but two floral bouquets courtesy of Dutch Flower Shop.

The Liverpool based florist created a duo of bespoke arrangements that were presented to The Duchess by pupils of Kilgarth School, Wirral and at The Hive, a community-based facility for young people aged 8 – 19 and up to 25 for those with disabilities.

It’s not the first time that the family ran business has provided royal blooms; during the past 39 years, they have been tasked with making arrangements for HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, Diana Princess of Wales and even Her Majesty The Queen as part of their previous visits to the region.

Founder of Dutch Flower Shop Loraine Whittle said: “A royal visit to Merseyside is always an occasion to look forward to and it’s a real honour to have been a part of it, creating two exquisite bouquets for The Duchess of Sussex. Working with The Hive and with Kilgarth School has been incredible and it was a real joy to see the children and young people involved really embracing the day.

“We’re no stranger to creating a royal bouquet but it is still very exciting for us to have been able to showcase what we do to the newest member of the Royal Family.”

The Duchess of Sussex’s first bouquet included Hellebore, Naomi Roses, Delphiniums, Wax Flower and Eucalyptus whilst the second used a selection of Tulips, Roses, Anemones, Delphiniums and Broom.
