Doktor Kaboom!

Doktor Kaboom! and the Wheel of Science comes to The Lowry Quays Theatre in Salford this Easter for three family-friendly performances on Sunday 5 April at 11am and Monday 6 April at 11am and 2pm. The show marks Doktor Kaboom!’s first performances in England outside the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The high-energy production blends comedy, live science experiments and audience participation into one fast-moving hour designed to thrill both children and adults. At the centre of the show is the Wheel of Science, a giant spinning wheel packed with experiments. Wherever it lands determines what happens next, ensuring that no two performances are ever the same.

Audience volunteers are invited on stage to help bring the science to life, with plenty of laughs and surprising moments along the way. Alongside the chaos and comedy, the show encourages curiosity, confidence and a love of learning.

Created and performed by American actor and comedian David Epley, Doktor Kaboom! has toured extensively across the US and Canada and recently received the 2025 SPARK Award for Outstanding Contributions to Science Education. The Salford dates offer families a rare chance to catch this internationally acclaimed science show during the Easter holidays.
