Delifonseca Dockside is ready to make the festive season sparkle with the launch of its Christmas menu and a packed programme of autumn and winter tastings.
There are two festive dining experiences available from Thursday, 4th December to Wednesday, 24th December. The headline offer this year is the Christmas Sharing Feast, priced at £29.50 per person, perfect for groups of 12 to 140. Guests will enjoy deli platters of fried olives, freekeh salad, kimchi-style Brussels sprouts, dolmades, dips, salt cod fritters, sausage rolls, chorizo and artisan breads. Sharing mains feature the ultimate Christmas turkey curry, apricot, red pepper & chickpea tagine, rice with lentils and spiced roast potatoes. A dessert bite platter of macarons, mince pie Bakewell bites and chocolate orange truffles can be added for just £5 per person.
Proprietor Candice Fonseca said, “Christmas seems to come earlier every year, and honestly, I do not blame anyone. Even in summer we had people asking about wine and cheese nights or if the sherry tasting is back. People love the build-up as much as the day itself.
“That is why we have planned several options for festive drinks with friends, family get-togethers, Christmas parties and winter date nights. We are known for putting a Delifonseca twist on dishes and our Christmas options are no different. Bookings are open and I expect we will get full quickly.”
For smaller gatherings, there’s also a three-course Christmas menu available, priced at £48 per person for groups of two to 60. Guests start with a platter of seasonal favourites such as beetroot & orange cured salmon, baked cranberry and walnut Camembert, pigs in blankets, Scottish venison salami and more. Mains range from red wine & porcini braised beef to pan-roasted cod, turkey and pheasant ballotine with all the trimmings or a spiced vegetable freekeh pilaf. Desserts include Christmas spiced clementine crème brûlée, chocolate torte, poached pears and a classic Stilton and mature cheddar cheese plate.
Delifonseca’s autumn and winter events offer indulgent evenings of wine, food and festive experiences. Highlights include Uruguayan Wine Night on Saturday, September 20th, a Sherry Tasting on Saturday, October 4th, a Loire Valley wine evening on Saturday, October 11th, Saturday Evening Decadence on Saturday, October 18th, Madeira Exploration on Saturday, November 22nd, Winter Wine and Cheese Evening on Saturday, November 29th and Fonseca Port House tasting on Saturday, December 6th.
