Trattoria 51 is preparing to celebrate the most magical day of the year with the return of its popular Christmas Day 51 Special.

Following high demand, the £51 three-course menu will be served exclusively on December 25 at the Old Hall Street restaurant, combining delicious Italian cooking with yuletide celebrations.

Restaurateur Attilio Sergi said: “We are so excited to celebrate our seventh Christmas Day at our Old Hall Street restaurant. Our guests on the day will have the opportunity to enjoy the festivities over delicious food and cocktails, complemented by exceptional service and warm Italian hospitality. In Italy, we enjoy nothing more than to gather around the table with friends and family and our Christmas celebrations will no exception.

“We understand that Christmas dinner is an important part of the day, so we have devised a three-course menu that combines a range of flavours to suit every taste including vegetarian and gluten-free options. Whilst Italian food may not be considered traditional for a festive meal, we’ve incorporated Mediterranean inspired dishes with some home comforts too, including a traditional turkey dinner, all with a contemporary twist.”

Starters include the likes of Ham Hock & Apricot Terrine and seasonal Mulled Pears with a Gorgonzola Warm Dressing to name a few. For the main event, diners can choose from an array of dishes including Goat’s Cheese & Sundried Tomato Ravioli, Steamed Scottish Salmon Fillet and of course, Traditional Roast Turkey with all the Trimmings, served with Potatoes & Seasonal Vegetables alongside Beef and Lamb options.

For dessert, Trattoria 51 will be serving up Classic Tiramisu, Zuccotto Panettone with Amaretto Liqueur, Warm Chocolate Brownies, Strawberry Cheesecake and an Artisan Cheese Platter with Biscuits and Chutney.

Attilio added: “Ahead of the big day, those looking to partake in the festivities can enjoy our seasonal Verde, Bianco and Rosso menus, available throughout December in all three of our restaurants, located in Southport and Liverpool’s Old Hall Street and Whitechapel. Named after the colours of the Italian flag, each menu offers its own selection of starters, mains and desserts, ideal for an office party or a celebratory lunch or evening meal with friends or family.”

The Christmas Day 51 Special menu is priced at £51 and is available exclusively at the Liverpool restaurant on December 25. A children’s menu is available for £21.

The Christmas lunch and dinner menus will be served throughout December. Menu Verde is priced at £15.95, Menu Bianco is £19.95 and Menu Rosso is £29.95.
