Award winning visual comedy favourite Out Of The Box is heading north this spring as Darryl J Carrington brings his much loved family friendly show to audiences across the region.
The British silent clown, visual comedian and juggler has more than 20 years’ experience performing internationally across theatre, circus and outdoor arts. His critically acclaimed solo show was named Best Family Show at Brighton Fringe last year and now tours the UK from February to April.
Out Of The Box is a fast paced visual comedy packed with world class tricks, playful audience interaction and a brilliantly silly toothbrush wielding finale. Carrington’s gentle non verbal style makes the show accessible to everyone, regardless of age or language, with adults and children laughing side by side. While perfect for families, this is not just a kids’ show, and works just as well as an evening comedy treat for grown ups.
Every time the box opens, a new surprise appears, from circus skills and trick shots to physical comedy where the smallest expression can spark big laughs. Audience participation is all about shared fun, with no awkward moments, just pure joy.
Northern tour dates include Bingley Arts Centre on 7 March, Salford Lowry on 22 March, Leeds City Varieties on 7 April, Guiseley Theatre on 8 April, Bury Met on 14 April and Grantham Guildhall on 15 April.
