A SPECTACULAR New Year’s Eve party is set to return to Tyneside after three years, with a packed programme to see in the arrival of 2027 in style.
EVNT Inspirations, the team behind Summer on the Southside together with By The River Brew Co. have unveiled details of its spectacular plans for the night, offering one of the best locations to visit for before, during and after the celebrated Newcastle-Gateshead’s Quayside firework display.
Organisers are also creating another social space inside their ‘Workshop’, which will feature all the best house and disco music, together with a cosy pub atmosphere in the main Tap. Plans are still being finalised for the container park space, HWKRLAND, but the promise is that it will offer another exciting and not-to-be-missed night to welcome the new year.
By The River NYE is not just for adults wanting to party past midnight, as between 4pm and 8pm families are invited along to enjoy the Southside experience for free. Guests can enjoy a range of favourite foods including the viral sensation Big Norm’s BBQ which will be offering a suckling pig roast and Bag Head’s spicy mix of chips, peppers and onions with a choice of protein and tossed in Chinese seasonings and served with Irish curry sauce, with more offerings to be confirmed in the near future.
Mike Hesketh of EVNT Inspirations, On The Southside believes this will be a memorable way to celebrate New Year’s Eve. “After a break of three years it’s fantastic to bring the celebrations back to the Southside of the river, especially as it has always been such a go-to place, ” he said.
