County Durham’s Raby Castle, Park and Gardens is the place to go this summer for impressive car shows, with two highly anticipated events featuring the best in classic and Italian cars.
Raby’s popular Classic Car Show will be returning this year on Sunday 28th June in the next instalment of the Raby and Durham Automobile Club collaboration and is a must-see summer event not just for the classic car community, but for families too.
Nearly 500 vintage and classic vehicles will be on the line up for motoring enthusiasts to explore, surrounded by Raby’s stunning parkland.
Tickets are on sale now for visitors and car owners alike. Car classics include pre-war and brass cars, 1939-1969 cars, 1970-1990 cars, 1991-current cars alongside motorcycles, tractors and more for motoring fans to explore.
Raby will also be hosting its estate barbecue with breakfast and lunch options, where guests can expect sausage and bacon sandwiches in the morning followed by Raby Longhorn Beef and plant-based burgers from midday.
The following month, hundreds of Italian vehicles featuring their iconic style, colour and power will line Raby’s parkland at the Italian Car Show, in a collaboration with Auto Italia Magazine.
Taking place on Sunday 26th July, car owners can display their pride and joy or visitors can come along to marvel at the variety of Italian vehicles all in one place, from classic Fiats and Alfa Romeos to Lamborghinis and Ferraris.
Tickets for both the Classic Car Show and the Italian Car Show include access to the stunning five-acre Walled Gardens and expansive deer park where the red and fallow deer roam, and Castle upgrades are also available including entry to Raby’s breathtaking floral installation, Castle in Bloom.
With free parking on site, visitors can make it a day out for the whole family and upgrade their Car Show tickets to also include entry to The Plotters’ Forest woodland adventure playground. Simply visit the Round House on the day to upgrade or purchase online in advance for the best price and availability.
