The festive season has arrived at Delifonseca Dockside as it prepares for its busiest Christmas yet.

With the addition of its new restaurant space alongside an on-site food hall, the multi-award-winning foodie establishment is offering everything from a seasonal December menu right through to bespoke hampers and culinary treats that make the perfect gift for a loved one.

Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “Every year we look forward to Christmas and this year, with our new and improved dining space, we’re doing things even bigger and better than before with a range of exciting events, exclusive offers and not to mention our festive menu. As an extra treat for our customers, we’re excited to announce that until mid-December, all diners will also receive 10% off in the food hall on the day of their visit, giving them the opportunity to cover all things Christmas in one stop.”

Christmas Menu:

As part of Delifonseca’s Christmas menu, diners can expect a sharing platter to start, including Beetroot Cured Salmon with Salmon Caviar & Crème Fraiche and Red Pepper & Squash Arancini. For mains, options include the likes of Turkey Wellington with Pigs in Blankets, Roasties, Red Cabbage, Carrots & Brussels Sprouts or a Spinach Gnocchi with Cheshire Blue Cheese, Butternut Squash, Wild Mushroom & Champagne Cream to name a few.

To conclude, seasonally inspired desserts such as Clementine Crème Brûlée and Mulled Red Wine Poached Pear with Gingerbread Crumb are perfect for those with a sweet tooth. Fans of savoury flavours can opt for a North West Cheese Selection with Homemade Piccalilli, Oatcakes & Celery Pickle.

Delifonseca’s Christmas menu is available from December 3 and is priced from £35 for three courses.

On Friday December 20, Delifonseca will also be hosting a special ‘Christmas Crooner’ event with swing star Mikey Powell.

Christmas Hampers:

Ideal for corporates or food lovers, this year will also see the return of Delifonseca’s much loved Christmas hampers, which come tailor-made with the budget and the recipient in mind.

Candice said: “We’ve become known for our Christmas hampers and for good reason. We offer a completely stress-free service that guarantees a bespoke gift for colleagues or loved ones and to make it even better, we do all of the hard work so you don’t have too. We recognise that this time of year can be stressful, particularly for businesses who may have a large workforce to consider.

“To create the perfect gift, all we require is a budget and some information about the individual so we can select the items they’re sure to love; whether they’re a coffee drinker, a cheese connoisseur or enjoy a little bit of spice, we’ve got it covered. As the icing on the cake, we’ll also package everything up and hand deliver them to your door ahead of the big day. It really is as easy as that.”

Food Hall Gifts:

Delifonseca has something for everyone when it comes to Christmas gift ideas this year.

Available from its multi award-winning food hall, the dockside restaurant is offering a range of stocking fillers, boozy gifts, retro culinary classics and much more, all ready to purchase for the most wonderful day of the year.

Delifonseca has lined its shelves with only the best produce from across the world, including local, regional, British and European goods.

Cheese lovers will melt over the Ultimate Cheese Making Kit, which makes 40 batches of 10 different cheeses from Mozzarella to Paneer while those looking for a little something extra can pick up gifts like a pineapple LED porcelain light or an exclusive Delifonseca bone china mug.

If your loved one enjoys a Christmas tipple, you can get your hands on a bottle of Mermaid Gin, handcrafted using 10 ethically sourced botanicals or six-spirit liqueur crackers, containing miniatures of sloe gin, bourbon and cherry brandy to suit every taste.

Those with a sweet tooth will love the Montezuma Barista Coffee Truffle collection or an old school classic like the 40-piece gift box of Family Favourites Liquorice. For the eco-conscious, Delifonseca has a Travel Straw Set, featuring a folding straw, cleaning brush and carry case.

Perfect for corporate clients and individuals alike, this year will see the return of Delifonseca’s famous festive hampers available to pre-order now. The handpicked selection of products can be created totally bespoke to suit the budget and the recipient, making for the most thoughtful gift on December 25.

Delifonseca’s food hall is open daily from 8am to 9pm, except Sundays when Dockside opens from 9.30am to 5pm.

Loyalty Card and Exclusive Discount:

To add to the yuletide merriments, Delifonseca will be offering diners an exclusive 10% discount on purchases until mid-December.

Delifonseca’s Christmas dining offer entitles guests at the restaurant 10% off in the food hall on the day of their visit. The discount can be redeemed by showing your food bill upon checkout.

Candice said: “To celebrate the launch of our upgraded dining space and bar, we’ve also recently introduced an all-new loyalty card to give something back to our regular customers. For every £1 spent with us, guests will get 5p to spend back in the restaurant. As it’s officially the season of giving, we thought it was the perfect time to introduce this scheme.

“At Delifonseca, we take customer care seriously and the team are always happy to share their expertise to make sure guests leave satisfied and full of knowledge, making for a really memorable shopping experience.”

Tasting Evenings:

Delifonseca welcomes the return of its much-loved Christmas tasting evening on Tuesday December 10.

As part of the event, the deli will welcome a host of suppliers in addition to its in-house team of expert staff, all on hand to recommend their top picks for presents and tips to ensure an enviable Christmas Day spread.

Candice added: “Our tasting evenings are a fantastic way to get up close and personal with a range of suppliers and sample some of the best of what we have to offer. It’s also a great time to compose your Christmas pre-order, which can include not just your turkey and cheese but your sprouts, caviar and spuds – whatever you need. It really is the best way to avoid the queues, just rock up and what you need is ready for when you are.”

Delifonseca’s Tasting Evening will take place from 4pm on Tuesday December 10 at the Food Hall and will give guests the opportunity to speak to staff and suppliers whilst also receiving 10% off all purchases on the night.
