Prepare to sweep away the winter cobwebs on Friday 8th February with the launch of Halifax’s newest food and drink venue – containing The Potting Shed Bar and Gardens and Firepit Smokehouse.

Situated on Fountain Street in the centre of Halifax, this new venue will house both bar chains under one roof – with each offering distinctly unique vibes to suit any occasion. Potting Shed will also benefit from its own stunning rooftop garden – perfect for soaking up the sun in the warmer months.

Both Potting Shed and Firepit have a host of popular sites situated across the country – including Leeds, Beverley and Guiseley. This on-trend destination for all things food and drink promises to set the senses reeling with its mix of bright botanicals and sumptuous smokehouse classics.

The Potting Shed Bar and Gardens serves up popular cocktails in plant pot-inspired vessels, in front of a backdrop of sweet aromas and beautiful flora and fauna. The food menu serves up light bites, loaded pizzas, burgers, salads and a choice of Sunday roasts, alongside a drinks menu bursting with classic cocktails, white, red and rosé wines, prosecco and real ales.

Firepit whets the taste buds with a combination of fresh smokehouse food and live sport. With its prime cuts of meat, lovingly cooked on a wood-fuelled grill and smoker, visitors can revel in delicious BBQ feasts that put real fire in the belly. Tasty steaks, ribs, burgers and hotdogs are complemented by bottled beers and ciders, craft beers and ales, wines, spirits, hot and soft drinks.

Sport takes centre stage at Firepit, with big matches from the world of football, boxing, rugby and more, screened live throughout the year on an indoor HD LED wall measuring 3m x 1.5m. For those keen to get in the thick of the action, Firepit has its own shuffleboard, dart boards and pool tables to add competitive spice to a night on the town.

The impending launch of this latest venue is an exciting prospect for Potting Shed and Firepit’s Head of Marketing and Promotions, Isaac Mayne, and he’s eager to see both bars open their doors on Friday 8th February – “Interest has been incredibly high from the public and we’ve already received a high number of bookings to attend the opening night,”

“There’s nowhere like this in Halifax at the moment,” says Isaac. “This venue benefits from the contrasting vibes of Potting Shed’s botanical charm, and Firepit’s smokehouse food and live sport. It means that the two bars work together perfectly – offering very unique experiences within close proximity and adding variety to any day or night out.”
